Next Up:
Niagara Falls!

This is one of those spots most people in the Midwest visited as a kid, but this was actually my first time here and my first time traveling out of the US!
We went in June 2018, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunshine and not too hot! We visited both the Canadian and American side.

There are a lot of gardens on the Canadian side, so be sure to put on your walking shoes and explore them! I recommend checking out the following:
- Botanical Gardens
- Queen Victoria Park
- Hiking along Niagara Glenn
- The Floral Showhouse

Also, don’t forget to grab a coffee and donut at Tim Horton’s (they’re literally everywhere).
Canadian side vs American side:
The VIEW is better on the Canadian side.

View of the sunset from our hotel… no words.

The falls also have a light show at night and it’s beyond beautiful!
American side:

The US side may not have the views, but they have a super fun excursion called “Cave of the Winds” It is only $20 for a short video about how “The World Changed Here” and access down to the US waterfall. Be prepared to get wet!

They’re also a couple different boat tours from both sides of the falls. We didn’t do one, but its a great way to get up close to the falls!
Overall, its a fun and beautiful experience if you want to have a short weekend trip with your friends or family!
