Woot Woot – I am finally sharing my first smoothie recipe for all you lovely people!
Jake and I decided to get a blender in December. We wanted to kick off 2020 healthier, as we prepare for our wedding. Plus, Jake is on a local project for work (he usually travels) and we decided it would be a quick and healthy way to add some fruits and veggies to our morning routines. Plus, we will be honeymooning in the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terre, and I’ll be honest… of course I want to look great in a swimsuit while sipping an Aperol Spritz along the Italy coast!! 😉
Anyways, this smoothie has been a favorite of ours and we have already made it 4+ times! I also figured it would be a great one to share with Valentine’s Day tomorrow! Strawberries are available everywhere and everyone always has extra, so before those bad boys go bad (since they do go bad quickly), chop of the tops and freeze them for this smoothie!
Strawberry Grapefruit Smoothies
- Add all the ingredients into your blender, blend until smooth. If some chunks are getting stuck at the top, pause the blender and safely use a small spatula to mix together, continue to blend. This recipe will produce a thicker smoothie. Add in more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
Here are some bonus goodies we have loved adding to our smoothies:
Probiotics: Greek yogurt, Amazing Grass Supergreens Powder
Protein: Whole Foods 365 Plant Protein Smoothie Rich Chocolate or Cage-Free Egg White Protein Powder Vanilla, Nut butters
